I've played both guitars, I personally think they're both great... but I definately lean towards the Soloist, because ever since I got my neck thru Schecter, I've been hooked on the feel of neck thru builds... just my opinion though. Its up to you though, whichever one fits your personal style best is definately the right one.

I have to admit if price was a factor in the decision then the JS is the better deal. But money is no object to me when it comes to a guitar.

I have my (pink) Jem and that is top quality as good as any US Jackson I've tried. (and fits me better) Does it have the vine inlays?? That would be sweet. Although a pink jem in the first place is sweet
