I have a 2120 but cant seem to get the right tone out of the tubes they are 12 ax7's do you know if i can change them or what i can do to better my sound

For what I've read (I don't know much about it) 12ax7 (or ECC83 as called in europe) are not just 12ax7 tubes there a big diffenrence between them. maybe someone knows...

tubes are expensive as hell and unfortunately tempermental as hell. I say try try try before you buy or else you could really be regretful in the long run

I cant actually say from experience or 100% knowledge, but I think its just 12ax7 circuitry... not the actual tube, so i'd imagine replacing it would be quite difficult. Again, thats just my guess... not for sure.

oh just a 12ax7 curcuit? well hell i think I just got one out of my cracker jacks lol.. if you know what that is you could probably just make your own effects pedals.
