When you change your string Guage when using a Floyd Rose tremolo am I right in saying you have to adjust the springs at the back?

nope, basically jsut alan wrench work. In the back behind the scratch plate they are held with phillips screws If you change the strings to a heavier guage you have to tighten the phillips screws and loosen for the lighter guage ones. It can take some time if your not used to it. It's a ballancing act between keeping the bridge level and adjusting the screws and keeping the strings in tune. Have fun

Im not totally sure on this, but i think you'll have to do more than simply increase/decrease the spring tension. Im guessing a new string gauge is going to have negative effects on action and intonation perhaps too. I'm waiting for those vids to download too, should be cool!

its not that hard realy ... I've done it tons of times, your 450s has a pretty good trem, so no reason why it would be harder, good luck with it, and i hope you'll never have to use it
