I love that strato cause have scalloped fretboard and DiMarzio Hs-3 pickups. That guitar sound great. I heard that guitar in a show and that guitar sound really great.

How much are they usually? I'd like to know the same. I'm planning on buying an ibenez RG but i'd also like the yngwie strat if it isn't TOO costly. what are some good neck pickups?

The Yngwie Strat is so worth. Alot of people a long time ago said it was a poor guitar because it was badly setup but the reviews are up so woot. But I never found a problem with them. The only problem I can find is that it was too good lol. The Yngwie Strat with a REAL Marshall not some non-tube one nail's the tone perfectly espically if you have his DOD pedal and an attenuator to go with a stack.
Is it me or do alot of people just buy Marshall now because of the title and don't even know the tone that Marshall was based off of. Because my idiot x-bass player bought one and wasted a decent amount of cash and alot of people are like listen to that tone! When it's never even a freakn tube AMP! They have nice solid state AMP's but it won't beat the true Marshall sound =D

Well ifyou're just loooking for his tone, go for the DOD YJM Overdrive. Although I don't own one, I hear they are great, buut produce a lot of hiss. So get a noise reducer also. Have you ever heard Yngwie's recordings on the cd that comes with a Guitar World magazine? All he uses is a Marshall AVT 20, his YJM overdrive pedal, and a boss noise reducer. Good luck to ya.

Yeah, he has a grey one. He teamed up with DOD to try to recreate his favorite 250 overdrive pedal so he wouldn't have to worry about his vintage one getting damaged or stolen.

Not quite. You see, his old grey one is from the 70's, so there's a major difference in the tone. The yellow one is the new DOD standard. I think they might've tried to recreate the 70's one in the yellow reincarnate, I don't know. But I do know that Yngwie worked with them to recreate the tone for his signature pedal, so it's your best bet for an overdrive like his.

Yea but that's not the true Yngwie tone. I mean it is one of his tones but not the true tone you think of when you hear Yngwie. My favorite Yngwie tone was hearing him on his DVD Yngwie Malmsteen LIVE!!!

Tube kicks the hell outta transister amps Not all the time I don't see how some people can stand some of the tube AMP's I've heard. What I hate about Tube unless it's Voodoo is that your stuck with one distortion and for 2000 to 3000 I better be getting a large amount of tone variety. Whats cool about some of the transister/solid state is that you can do so much with there clean channels I put in 50 different pedals into my Line 6 Spider II 15 Watt and get 50 different amazing sounds and what they can do with any effect is mind boggling. Now from my experience on alot of tube AMP's you get stuck with the same sound as the distortion channel just changed a bit which is stupid really. So they both have there ups and downs but Voodoo makes no downs

My favorite Yngwie tone was hearing him on his DVD Yngwie Malmsteen LIVE!!!Yea, that is very true. But I didn't exactly mean you'd get his tone... There's also something that Yngwie talked about with his pickups. He said they're perfectly balanced, like with the millivolts or something, and that's a key part in his tone. By the way, for reference, he uses his signature Dimarzio YJM pickup in the neck and middle positions on his strat, and the Dimarzio HS-3 Stack in the bridge. And if you like Yngwie's tone live, watch and listen to him on the G3 he was recently in!

No way that tone was ok but I didn't like it as much as his others. Watch the Yngwie Malmsteen LIVE!!! DVD thats his true tone. The Live At Budokan also had a nice tone I liked how the tone was more shaped for awsome chords though on that one. The Rythm sound was nice on LIVE!!! but it was very bassy and not the best tone for rythm
