Hey dudes. Just want your onpion on this song that I made. (eternal life). www.myspace.com/moonlitshadows777 NOTE: drums were made with accousitca beatcraft (some parts are out of rhythm), which i dont really know how to use. The song should have been mixed better...not my fault. The other song on my page is aucostic so no shred. But tell me what you think!

listening through now. Acoustic part was cool, i didnt like the sudden change into the distortion part. Drums sound alright, could be improved but i have the same problems as you. I love beatcraft i do all my drums with it but uinless your a drummer its kinda hard to make really cool beats. Have to be honest i didnt likethe vocals. I agree with kenny that the guitar parts did become a bit repetetive. Synth break was cool and super cheesey but kinda didnt fit with the rest of the song imo.
Production is decent, better than mine, the mix isnt perfect but its soo damn hard to mix and master perfectly, vocals should have been louder.
pretty good song just not really my thing pal.

Yeah, I should change the guitar up a bit. I plan on getting a mac and pro tools and all of that lovely expensive stuff. Then it will sound WAY better. I didnt record it at my place though, some other guys. Thanks for the comments! And if you were to say a certain band it sounds like what would it be? And what do my vocals sound like?

Yeah, I should change the guitar up a bit. I plan on getting a mac and pro tools and all of that lovely expensive stuff. Then it will sound WAY better. I didnt record it at my place though, some other guys. Thanks for the comments! And if you were to say a certain band it sounds like what would it be? And what do my vocals sound like? As far as bands go it's reminding me of (KIND OF) old Dream Theater... maybe a thrashier Sonata Arctica... To be totally honest with my opinion, The vocals weren't my thing, really thrashy guitar parts, I felt your voice wasn't doing their heaviness justice, (not gutteral in a clean james hetfield way or cookie monster like in a Death Metal way...) and if you were going for more of a power metal vibe than I'd want them to be more deep and operatic... It sounds to me like a folk singer singing over metal... THIS IS JUST ME NOW! I don't want to sound like I'm dissing, your vibe just wasn't my thing... I'm always impressed when someone steps up to the plate and throws their voice out there... Yes! I agree with whoever said it needs another guitar track, layering on those riffs is the thing to do! Gotta be thick, gotta be true, You served up the riffs pretty well, Panning other tracks will make it thick and full. (I'm gonna advertise amp modeling here again...lol, Just feel like PODs and the like make life easier...) Also... HATE to sound picky... the guitar was out of tune in the intro... it might be in your interest to pay someone with the righ qualifications to mix for you... record all the parts on your own... Ahh my IM is twistedbusCAV, if you don't think I"m full of crap IM me sometime, I like talking about recording, this post could be 3 pages long...
