Hello my good friends...was just having some fun noodling away here (hope it wasn't too bad).... i realize now i look miserable all the way through, but i'm laughing inside, muahahaha! ;D If anyone wonders about any of the licks or things i did in this vid, just ask and i'll see if i can remember exactly how i played it. I'll probably get roasted putting something like that up on YouTube, but i really just uploaded it for you guys around here to check out, and at the size of the vid, i thought it'd be easier and quicker to just put it on YouTube (so the link won't die as well). Willie.

That was very good William!
I swear i recognise most of those licks, but i can't put a name to any of em!
Your dog is a little cutie but you forgot to hide your paddling pool!
BTW, how much did you pay Xanthos to say "Your picking technique is impressive, reminds me of Lane". ;D

That was some AWESOME playing, but your picking hand looks a little strange. Oh well it gets the job done I guess.

You've already got great alt. picking chops, I suggest improving those vibratos and bends! ;D

Awesome! And don't worry about not being able to talk while playing because I have an even worse problem. When someone tries to talk to me when I'm playing, I can never stop on a dime and respond. I usually have to finish whatever section I'm playing before my brain tells me to answer them.

Hey thanks for the comments guys... i forgot to answer to this thread after i posted it, oops! (so now i can just dig it up again, hehe) I swear i recognise most of those licks, but i can't put a name to any of em! I made most of them up... except for the obvious things like Funk #49, and the snippet of Gray Pianos Flying. Your dog is a little cutie but you forgot to hide your paddling pool! Hahaha .... yeah, the house has been in the biggest mess ever, since my daughter was born 4 and a half months ago. That was some AWESOME playing, but your picking hand looks a little strange. Oh well it gets the job done I guess. I agree my picking hand is rather funny/uncomfortable... but is there any chance you could elaborate, on spefically what you mean?... Cheers! You've already got great alt. picking chops, I suggest improving those vibratos and bends! ;D I agree, i was out on a few bends (usually over-bending by a bit), especially the first bend i did at 0:02, the one at 0:29, and a few others in the video... However, a lot of the bends i did in that video were microbends, which were absolutely intentional (and quite hard to do without just sounding plain 'wrong'), i know anyone could use that as an excuse, and i've seen it happen, hehe... but i definately love using micro bends (in fact, i was really happy the way the bend at 0:47 came out, even though some people may just hear it as being flat). I got my micro tonal influence mostly from Shawn Lane (a lot of people don't see past his speed... but he actually has some of the best/most controlled vibrato, and bending facility i've heard). Anyway, that's my bending in the vid, as for the vibrato, i'm actually quite happy with my vibrato these days, i've worked on it a lot in the last couple of years.... though maybe it wasn't so strong in that vid?? It used to be awful a couple of years ago, before i ever bothered working on it (for example, check out my audio "Big Old Shred Clip", if you have it... i've uploaded it a few times in the past). greta alternate picking man, you nailed that grey pianos flying lick at about 2.40 Hey thanks man. Awesome! And don't worry about not being able to talk while playing because I have an even worse problem. When someone tries to talk to me when I'm playing, I can never stop on a dime and respond. I usually have to finish whatever section I'm playing before my brain tells me to answer them. Hey don't worry... i do that too! ;D .... In fact, everyone i've ever personally known who plays guitar does that too... they just switch off to the outside world, in their own little guitar zone, hehe. *drools* even more that was amazing! technique wise Wow, thanks very much! I just posted this other older clip of mine (but i guess some of you guys will have seen it already) : Thanks again guys!

I made most of them up... except for the obvious things like Funk #49, and the snippet of Gray Pianos Flying. Oh i thought i recognised some licks in there from say Garsed which i couldn't put a name too. Lane fan? ;D I agree, his bending/vibrato is excellent.
