This is the second lick in my series of "Quick Lick" videos.
Be gentle, I'm still new to this whole thing!

nice lick man, pretty clean, if it were a bit faster it would be reminiscent of some of <ABs 80's stuff.

natural minor, my favourite scale.
very in the box and a standard lick but no mistake, it was pretty quick and clean try breaking out of boxes, its more fun and you can get to places on the fretboard for other licks

Thanks and thanks for the tips. I've been messing around with different ideas for the lick but to be totally honest, I'm not sure I know what a natural minor is. Told ya I'm new EDIT: Nevermind, I found out what it is - gosk.com/scales/natural-minor-scale-for-guitar.php

natural minor is the major scale lowered 3 semitones
eg. C major is CDEFGABC lowered 3 semitones on each note gives you - ABCDEFGA
its like the harmonic minor but without the sharp 7th

That was pretty nice, although I would suggest moving your whole index finger when you cross over to the high E. You seem to be barring it on both the B and E strings. It doesn't sound bad at all right now, but you might be able to get it even cleaner. Also, you might want to consider picking the lick like Paul Gilbert does, i.e. upstroke, downstroke (descending), then downstroke, upstroke (ascending).

Thanks Bigmuff
I tried picking it like Gilbert, but I'm not very good at outside picking. I realize that once I can play using outside picking, my alternate picking will probably greatly improve.
