The playing and recording are on the crap side, so ignore them. The progression is interesting. Reminds me a bit of erotomania. It's from a game (Faxanadu) of the late 80's www.speedyshare.com/708505851.htmlI usually post 2, but the other one was being a pain so I gave up on it (was some jazzy thing).

Hey, I have that game. It was pretty hard, I remember having to write down the passwords since it didn't have a save feature
The tone of the guitars sounds a little muffled and the backing music is louder than the guitars.. a better recording would have been better (I know you said to ignore that!)
Video games have great music, just listen to the songs in Megaman, I love the progressive and addicting feel some of those songs have

Awesome!!! video games have far better music than movies, imo. People should check the Ys and Phantasy Star series. they're extremely underrated. The Ys series has the best music in video game history. btw, here is some old stuff of mine: www.speedyshare.com/651409957.htmlI posted the solo once. It's from Ys 3

Speaking of video game music, you should check out the Soundtrack to "Sonic Adventure 2" which was released on sega dreamcast, and then on Nintendo Gamecube. The rock songs in it are great (they are mostly in Sonic, Tails, Shadow, and Eggman's levels) and the song's main theme "Live and Learn" is a great hard rock tune. The band that did the songs named themselves "Crush 40" ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crush_40 ) though I'm not into the rap tunes they used for the treasure hunting levels. If you like classic video game music, "Chrono Trigger" for Super Nintendo has an awesome sound track.

The best video game music is in Donkey Kong Country, Diddy's Kong Quest and Dixie Kong's Double Trouble without a doubt.

There is an Game of Sega Cube called Street Rage as far as i remember. It's music was amazing too. SUddenly the jazzy rock turns to a horror one.
