You're nuts for even trying that lick, but it was a pretty good attempt. That's one of the scariest licks around.

Cool, I haven't heard the song unfortunately but you did it pretty good I believe, I can imagine how crazy it must sound when Todd plays it! ;D

Oh cool I actually have that very first part of the lick which you clocked to 16 nps I believe.
I hate Todd ;D
I think I'm going to order the album right now, see if I can find it on his website.

Honestly, the speed isn't really the thing that caught my attention from the beginning when I heard that lick. Sure the speed is insane 16 nps but it's the aggressivness and cleanliness that impress me the most.
I heard it in Willjay's "NPS Clocking Project" ;D And it was several 16 nps and faster stuff in that project but that lick was definitely the sickest of them all IMO.

Todd Duane has perhaps the most aggressive alternate picking tone on the planet.

Hey, Slop, not too bad at all. Definately not as sloppy as some PROFESSIONAL players in Willie's list. "Sort of slopternate picking at very fast speeds" should be your new name. How old are you btw? I can't remember if you told me or not......
Todd's picking is rediculous, i had a go at a part of his "Fletcher The Mouse" solo a while back and got it to about half speed, half as clean & half as aggressive. LOL.
Todd's tone is excellent too. That really helps with the note articulation. His pick gauging is awesome, his wrist movement is awesome. & he can pick as well on acoustic as he can on electric which is the true test of technique. All the great pickers can do that.
@ Blue- Dude, you don't have "Omnipresent"? What a n00b. ;D Get "Eccentricity" & "Electric Cartoon Music From Hell" too while you're at it. You wont be disappointed, i guarantee!
