Never tried them, and they don't really appeal to me (they don't come in pink ;D). But their SE models aren't that expensive and they are getting rave reviews.

I bought my fender for $400+, and that was without the hardshell case, strap, amp or anything...just the guitar

That's not fair, they could put $2 on every righthand to keep the lefties at the same price. I could live with that

I eprsonally don't think PRS's are any more overpriced than any other guitar manufacturer out there. The problem is that they seem to have no middle ground in guitars. They have the incredibly cheap SE series and then it just shoots right up to the Custom 22s etc. Sure they're overpriced, but I bet you'd find it difficult to find a guitar manufacturer whom doesn't have at least one range like this. It's not like the Dean Time Capsule series are put on sale for the exact amount they cost to build. These pricey PRSs are to a very high build quality, are made from very select woods, and made by the best in the business. If you don't want to pay that much, then you simply don't buy them, you look to the far east or somewhere else.
But I really do wish they would have a mid-priced range of guitars for people who really don't want to break the bank like Fender do! I think Fender are one of the best guitar manufacturers for this, you can name any price-range and they'll have one for you.

Certain guitars have a lot more to them than what we know, if you visit the warmoth guitar website on how to create your own, you see the cash adds up, jackson soloists are the guitars for me, a good one costs around £500 but its worth it, PRS aint that badly overpriced, i think gibson are overpriced more than any just because its gibosn.
peace

All the commants here are ok why Cause again is a matter of taste, if you played a PRS and don't like that is your own opinion and you know why, some people just like strat guitars other like guitars as Prs Models and others like Les paul the thing is the quality of the guitar if you have the money and you like not guitar will be overpriced but one thing is true they don't built guitars to the reach of all, and that is one thing like ESP LTD and Ibamez does of course do they have the quality of those expense guitars the answer is NO but for beginners or little more advanced still you have a choice with guitars like Ibanez just to mention one of them there is more than that. By tge way blondie nice guitar what Brand is that ?

The sad thing about PRS guitars is they are not truely hand made anymore even though they advertise them as so. If you want the true dirt on the PRS guitars I suggest you visit www. edromanguitars.com. He is one of the largest guitar dealers in the world and he sells them and his opinion of them has gone south.
