Well I decided to start focusing on classical guitar again. I used to teach it back in the day but sold my classical guitar 6 years ago due to finacial reasons. Since then I have forgotten most of the concert level stuff since it's almost impossible to play well on a steel string. So it was time to order a new classcial. I didn't want to go all out and get a Jose Ramirez model so I decided to settle on a Alvarez Yari. The model I bought is the CY127CE www.alvarezgtr.com/woodprodpgs/classicalpgs/CY127CE.html I got a great deal on it for $1129 with case and free shipping. It won't get here until next week but here is a pic of it for now

You can get cheap ones but Hand made ones like the Yari and Ramirez sound and play alot better. I do agree with you when you look at the concert level ones which start at $3K for a cheap one and go as high as $36,000 and higher. If you want to see some expensive stuff go here www.fineguitarconsultants.com/classical1.htm

It's like that with all instruments really, the very good ones are incredibly expensive. Particularly stringed instruments. An old cello teacher of mine has a cello which is insured for over 2 million I'm not jealous... honest.

hell for that kinda money you'd think theyd throw in some lee press on nails precut for classical guitarists and a nice bowtie for performing.

I've been thinking of buying an acoustic, Ovations are pretty good, but too expensive..... I got an Ovation Custom Legend Al Demiola model for my birthday last month. It's an amazing guitar and it was a little pricey $1579 but worth every penny Here is a pic of it www.modularpowerhouse.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=8236
