I've always been a big fan of Tiago Della Vega, I think he's under-rated..........

TIAGO DELLA VEGA IS FASTEST WHY NOT JOIN THE LIST HE ISN'T IN HIS LIST That's beacause he can't really pick that fast! I've proven that with several of his other videos... now i'll prove it with this "370 bpm" video of his..... Here is the whole '370 bpm' section at quarter speed : www.speedyshare.com/956816739.htmlNotice that far more notes 'ring out' compared to how many times his picking hand actually moves up and down. Now here's the part that proves he's a fraud........Bear in mind that he claims he is picking groupings of 4 at 370bpm, which is 24.6 notes per second.... Here is EXACTLY 1 second from the 370 bpm section : www.speedyshare.com/203132546.htmlHere is that 1 second at HALF speed : www.speedyshare.com/566595588.htmlHere is that 1 second at QUARTER speed : www.speedyshare.com/203880612.htmlHere is that 1 second at EIGHTH speed : www.speedyshare.com/136307874.htmlYou don't even need to 'listen' to those 1 second clips slowed down, you can just watch them with the sound turned off, and you can count that his picking hand only moves up and down 16 times in that 1 second. I've done this exact same thing with several of his so called "world record speed" videos, with the same kind of result every time (in his other "Guiness World record" video, his picking hand only moved up and down about 15 times in 1 second, during the fastest, clearest part i could find). There is ONE way to prove how fast a guitarist really can actually pick at their fastest potential, and that is to get them to just pick 1 note as fast as they can, and then clock that..... because then there can be NO tricks with fingering more notes than they actual pick, as well as no tricks with using 'Economy' picking instead of Alternate picking (which would allow you to play more notes with about 30% less up/down motions of the wrist). End.

I can't stand that guys playing. Speed or other wise. What a fake. Hey Wiljay, have you ever tracked any non-famous guitarists clips...well, I guess you did Tiago's...nevermind. Can you track these clips of mine? They are only like 20 second clips total. I am curious how clean and fast I am. I am willing to be scrutinized... www.speedyshare.com/608587879.htmlwww.speedyshare.com/884751989.htmlP.S. Willjay, I just wanted to say thanks for everything you do. You're so selfless and generous. With the whole Shawn Lane archives to the NPS project. You really make a difference on the guitar community. Thanks! P.P.S. There is very little or no distortion on these clips. Just a cranked Marshal. No excuses from me! -Arroyo-

His music isn't that 'wow' either. He can pick 32 notes per second or whatever but can't put together a simple alternate picking run in his compositions???

I kinda clocked my picking...right around 13 nps...wish i was faster but meh! i would love to get aroubd 16. Okay, gimme a year..haha. i was happy with my accuaracy. I have to get a better tone to really hear what i am doing. I had a splash to much reverb on some of the clips.

I can re-upload the files for anyone interested, just give me a PM here and I'll try to fix it.
I think I have some more clips in there too that Willjay uploaded after the first big upload.
